New Article: Those Clever Quaker Parrots

Ok, I admit I love talking about my parrots and sharing stories of the funny and clever things that they do. What proud bird owner doesn't, right? This article focuses more on the talking aspect of Quakers, and they are indeed awesome talkers for the most part. What makes these stories "clever" is that I didn't teach these words to my birds on purpose — they are just words they picked up on their own from hearing them in our household. Here is a preview:

Recently one of my Quakers said something so very appropriate that he had me once again deep in thought over how easily these birds pick up our language. Hello
I am a mom of 5 young children and we are excited about our new member soon to come a young male parakeet. While we go to the petshop everyday to bond with our soon to be bird we were introduced to a young quaker parrot. Would you suggest that if the cage were big enough they could live in one cage together or would that be too much for 2 different type of birds??I would appreciate any input from a person knowlegable in birds. It is our first experience as bird owners. Thank you…DAWN
