My beloved Blue Headed Pionus Parrot whom i have had live with me more than twentyfive years has peacefully passed over the rainbow today this morning March 24, 2012. My husband and I have buried him in the backyard under our potted hydrenga and he is overlooking the backyard and his home where he lived. I will miss you so much. Aegis you can now be with Samantha and my Mother.

So sorry for your loss. I'm sure Aegis appreciated the good, loving home he had with you for 25 years. Treasure your memories of him; over time, they will bring you lots of comfort.

Wow, 25 years. That's a very, very long relationship you and he had. I'm sure you miss him a lot.

But what a wonderful life he must have had with you!!!

Do you have any favorite memories of Aegis to share?

yes i do have many good memories. to many to list lol and in time ill share them right now im going through photos and im going to make a scrap book of Aegis and also of Samantha my amazon that passed away in 07. I have many many good memories. the best oneis the day that I rescued him from a yard sale. aegis most favorite food was pasta in any way shape or form. what he wouldnt give for a sliver of butter a definite no no no no but he loved it so. one day i caught him in a bag of popcorn that was popped and i put it down on the counter to answer the door and low and behold aegis was in the bag lol wished i had a cam for that. he loved junk food and he loved chicken bones! he sure could clean them chicken bones better than the cat could! lolstayed tuned for more to come. thank you all its comforting now will make a memorial for the wall where the cage used to be and put a plant in the empty spot. will take a pic when its done.
