That's cute. Mine was terrified of pumpkins. I spend a good 15 minutes yesterday trying to convince him that pumpkins were ok and good to eat. He finally stopped trying to attack it and decided that it really was tasty. Then I tried to give him a fresh pumpkin today and he went right back to attacking it!
