I just got Kelly a few days ago.... the first day she said nothing to me.... tho the previous owner said she talked.... "night night" "kelly is a good girl" "kelly is a good bird" "come here give me a kiss" "what are you doing" and "kiss me" ........ hmmmmm I hear nothing first day.... not even night night 
2nd night putting her to bed, she said NIGHT NIGHT ... 2 times ... well 4 times... I was elated!
3rd day.... she said it in the morning too as I took off her cover to the cage.... hmmm too early for her ? LOL..... well at night she said it quite a few times also.... night night... a real sweetheart. <3
I hope she continues to open up and say more things to me...... the lady at my local bird pet store told me to just keep talking to her like she's a 4 year old child and she will learn.
