Yesterday I had a terrible, terrible headache. I came home from my volunteer job at the zoo, got into my nightgown, darkened the room, took my pain pill and lay down. My little Blue Man comes over to me and croaks  "I love you".

Could there be any better medicine than that?

What a tonic! I've never been able to express to non-parrot people how special it feels to be the object of a bird's affection.

I had a bad morning where everything went wrong and I went into Ringo's room to get ready for work (my clothes are in that room) and she said "I love you!" over and over. Usually she varies that with "who's my baby" and her name and a bunch of stuff I can't understand, but this morning it was nothing but "I love you!" And non bird people don't believe they think and reason.

Awwww.....there must be something in my eye. blush.png

It makes my heart melt when our birds show us affection and concern, because for them it is totally heartfelt.

I bet your headache went away after that, didn't it?smile.png
