If anyone in the Westland, MI area ever needs this kind of emergency help I would gladly come daily to take care of your Quaker. Just email me! I can't imagine gong away like this and leaving a bird loose. I take my Quaker everywhere with us. He has a special smaller trip cage and gets excited when I pull it out because he knows we are going somewhere fun!

I know we had a thread similar to this several months back - but with all of the new members it is certainly worth doing again.

I am in Illinois - NW suburbs of Chicago and I am always willing to help out any way I can.

If we start a list like this--someone should keep a hard copy of it with phone numbers!! What do ya'all think?

It could be called Quaker Resources!

I'm in the Seattle Area. I'm always willing to travel to someones home, or do bird sitting at my home. Anybody who might think they'll need somebody in the future, send me a PM and I'll give you my phone number.

I live in Orchard Park, NY, just outside of Buffalo. I don't have tons of bird experience but am willing to help out with anyone in this area in need. I missed the list the first time around, glad another is going around.

For Mr. Pickles in Ann Arbor - I live in North Dakota, but my folks live in Ann Arbor, MI.

One time I took my Quakers with me to Michigan to visit my parents. While in Michigan, I had to leave for a business trip and had to board the birds for a few days.

There's an awesome vet in Saline (on Ann Arbor-Saline Road) that also has a boarding facility called "All Creature Comforts." They are kind of pricey, but they give each bird its own room when boarding (although, my birds stayed together). They have a brand new facility, which is beautiful.

I also took my birds in to the vet there to have an annual check up, fecal tests, beak and wing trim - they were very nice and sweet with my birds. They also do DNA testing - if you are interested in finding out if Mr. Pickles is really a "Mister"... smile.gif

Salem Oregon here and willing to help on a tip basis. Other wise in an emergency if you can afford to pay please do so if not bring em on any way. I just cant leave Petey so I can imagine the pain of trying to make last min emergency arrangements with no money. Anyone in the mid willamette valley who needs a sitter PM me.

Austin, Texas, although I can end up anywhere in my job.

Would it be a good idea to sticky this so that it doesn't fall down?
