One time I took my Quakers with me to Michigan to visit my parents. While in Michigan, I had to leave for a business trip and had to board the birds for a few days.
There's an awesome vet in Saline (on Ann Arbor-Saline Road) that also has a boarding facility called "All Creature Comforts." They are kind of pricey, but they give each bird its own room when boarding (although, my birds stayed together). They have a brand new facility, which is beautiful.
I also took my birds in to the vet there to have an annual check up, fecal tests, beak and wing trim - they were very nice and sweet with my birds. They also do DNA testing - if you are interested in finding out if Mr. Pickles is really a "Mister"...
