I let Sammy out this morning and the little Pooo flew right out into the hallway and into the bathroom .

I called and we went for a trim

He isn't a happy camper this evening he is not even giving out kisses

Wont come out the cage ,Just shakes is head no and grabs for the cage bar .

But he will forget about it by tomorrow and be his self again

I really hate taking away something from an animal that it was born with and meant to use, and I didn't think I would do it but I said it could have been a pan of boiling water that he flew into.So sorry Sammy this it the way its going to be

I had to have Nabiki's wings trimmed up today too. She has just gotten too much of an attitude the past few months.. flying at my face, etc.
I felt really guilty, like I was making her a crippled bird or something. That's just the way I see it. But I know they will always grow back, and that helps me!! So just think of it that way. It's not permanent if you don't want it to be. But yeah, much safer on both sides.

Nibs seemed really sulky and cuddley all day afterwards. She got lots of treats and cuddles. wub.gif

Awww, poor Sammy, but he's safer now! He'll sulk for a couple of days then go back to his old self. smile.gif Casey doesn't mind the wing trim, it doesn't really phase her, but the nail trims are another story! rolleyes.gif She alternates holding her feet in the air and tries not to step on things and acts like we've crippled her for life, but after a few days she forgets about it... Funny little fids! laugh.gif
