Glad to find this site.Have been doing a lot of research on parrots and trying to learn as much as I can. I have had several birds, not parrots in my time including a cockatiel.I have had Jerry a male Quaker about a month and a half now and he is already talking. His vocabulary is only 12 words right now but he is learning.I hope he can be patient with me while I try and learn with him. Right now he squawks when I leave the room and so I say be right back and this works for a while. He is a little on the short tempered by wanting his way but I am able to handle him ok.Having lots of fun.

lol

Dave

P.S. No Pics for now...

Just to clarify, Cockatiels are parrots. Parrots are any bird with a hooked beak and zygodactyl feet (two toes pointing forward and two toes pointing backward). So this includes Cockatiels, Budgies and numerous other birds smile.gif
