My 4 month old baby, will not, eat fruit and veggies, I have tried raw cooked massed and cut up. The funny thing is to watch him test something with his beak and if it is soft he throws his head to shake it off. Can not stand anything on his beak, that's why I think that is why I am having such a hard time getting him to eat differant foods.
Any suggestions????

Try eating while he is eating? Usually eating is a social event, or at least at our house.

I agree with the post above. Cricket wants whatever I'm eating. He doesn't want a plate of his own... he wants to eat off MY plate or sometimes he wants me to feed it to him.

Cricket loves baby food... more of the veggies than the fruit though. In the morning i make a little instant oatmeal and mix in a teaspoon of fruit baby food and in the evening i warm up some veggie baby food.

Slinging is beak and wiping it off would be a normal reaction to new foods. Especially soft ones that stick to his beak. He isnt being so much picky as just testing the food an texture and it feels strange. Just keep offering the foods in diff ways. He will catch on eventually.

My birds love rice but they also love to sling it everywhere. LOL They do the slinging thing with anything that gets stuck on their beaks. Sometimes I think more of the food goes "flying" than actually gets eaten LOL
