I noticed today on Led that the feathers in the middle of his back was thin and I could actually see to the skin when I moved a couple around. He had to do this overnight since he looked good last night before. I found more feathers in his cage than regular. None of them look like down feathers which is a little encouraging. He hasn't taken a bath for a while and won't really when I encourage him. He hates getting sprayed. He last molted in about aug/sept. Is it to soon for another molt. I'm gonna take him to the lady that I have clip his wings and I got him from and see what she says. Depending on what she says I may try to get him in the vet.

He's plucking, I caught him when I was playing with him. I got a vet appointment setup and I found a humidifier that I got going.

Good luck my Baby Harley just started plucking around a month and a half ago and I took him to the vet the first time they just gave me some spray to try then he kept doing it and I took him back for bloodwork and found out his proteins were low. We started him on vitamins that I put in his water. I recently purchased some pluck no more after we ruled out that he didnt have anything major going on with him, I received the pluck no more and the feather shine shampoo in the mail today and tried it on him and for once hes in him cage and I have not heard that dreaded ouch that hurts screech when he pulls out his feathers. I wish you all the luck in the world with getting him to stop plucking once they start it hard to stop them. I hope the pluck no more helps Harley. Keep us posted on how your baby is doing.

I took him to the vet and all they said was that he's healthy. They wanted to do a liver test, but its too expensive to do without trying anything else first. I've got light on him, changed up some toys, and moved his cage. I think I've slowed down his plucking to where every now and then he'll pick a down feather out. I'm wondering about a bigger cage though. I wanted to get him one before this started. Last time I got him a bigger cage he didn't like it much.

Well i ordered the pluck no more and so far knock on wood he has not plucked and is starting to get new pin feathers in on his chest. Hes starting to look pretty now he was pretty with out the feathers but still i would much rather have him with his feathers. so maybe if he continues to pluck you might want to order some pluck no more. Do not order the feather shine shampoo as it has some stuff in it thats not good for the birds i found this out after i had already used it on harley though and felt horrible.

I ordered a bunch of toys, and if he keeps going I'm gonna get some stuff that is pluck no more but just packaged differently. Its about 25$ cheaper.
