Laika is coming along nicely! We rec'd the DNA results back, and he is a HE!! Laika is named after the first dog in space. Though the Laika the USSR sent up into orbit was a female, the name translates to mean "Loyal", so I think it is still quite appropriate!

Laika has just started to come out of his cage to me for playtime and cuddles! He is absolutely adorable and getting cuter and more brave everyday!

Amazing what daily baths and a good diet can do for his appearance! wub.gif

Laika sure is gorgeous. Its amazing what a little love and paitence can do for a parrot! It may take time but its certainlyy worth it if you ask me.
