Kiwi got the coolest Christmas present from my SS, it was a bunch of bells. Kiwi proceeded to take about 4 clappers out of 8 bells. He also took the clapper out of bell on one of his toys that he has had for 5 yrs or more, so I had to remove the toy. What is up with this?

lol....it's hard to say, Sandi. Could be that the newer toy has easily removed clappers? And then Kiwi got it into his head that he could remove them if he was so inclined and proceeded to work on the older toy?

Only Kiwi really knows wink.gif

you are not a kidding Carrie Anne. The toy that he has had for so long, he played with faithfully and then I noticed the bell was in the bottom of his cage and the clapper was still attached.. I do notice that Kiwi has been playing more since I switched cages on him and Gidget.......

Kermit takes the clackers out of any bell he can. I finally started buying the larger bells that have sturdier clackers. It certainly keeps him busy trying though. smile.gif

Just remember everyone the cheap bird toys you buy from pet shops are NOT Stainless Steel becareful if you birds chew on them I woul;d only allow Stainless Stel toys in the birds cages having lost a fid to metal poisoning ...
