Well Betty, after taking the pictures, it started raining, so it was short lived. But that is the kind of SNOW I like, short lived.....

Lucky you!!!

It's been SO warm here the last two days that 90% of our snow is gone. sad.gif While I love the snow, I really don't like the cold.

Hmmmmmm, well, it saves you the trouble of making snowballs when it comes down that big.........

"Snow day" here in Iowa means that there is enough snow that schools are shut down.
I don't like the cold, but can't seem to get interested in living anywhere else!! We have had a few warm days (30-40 degrees) so some of the 3 inches of ice on my drive is finally melting.

Very pretty picture's! But you all can keep it because I don't want any snow. It's been pretty cold here and I can't wait until it warms back up next week. biggrin.gif

i have to agree with the masses - i don't like the cold smile.gif we got blasted all december long with measurable snows, but it wasn't horribly cold (which is all relative, i know. we only had 2 days i think where it dipped below 0 F but mostly it hovered between like mid 20s and teens.). i would like to live somewhere warmer, and have actually figured out it's the desert somewhere, but ian LOVES winter. ugh. i think even in retirement we will still be in wisconsin.

today it is supposed to be almost 50 degrees yay!!! and overnites won't be under freezing for a few days. only problem is, with all the snow cover, it is horribly foggy now. but we can see some grass around the sidewalks and driveway, so that's enough to excite me.

i need to get out and get rid of the snow that i shoveled into the wrong areas so i am ready to start fresh for the next snowfall.

I have to be honest...I hate the snow! We are getting dumped on here as I type this. Last nights forcast said we would have a 'dusting by morning' but no real accumulations. I woke up to 2+ inches and still coming down like crazy!!

I remember last year so well, the snow, getting stuck in it, frozen pipes. Yuck! Sorry you are getting dumped on, but I am so glad to be here. Be safe.....

yup, we have about 3 inches of new snow now...and they say more is on its way. I think I'd rather have the foot of snow than the foot of rain California is supposed to be getting all at once.

I sure hope the neighbor can get my snow blower fixed today!

I say if we have to have winter .. then we may as well have snow! That way all though it is cold out if you dress for it you can go out and enjoy winter sports.

We have anywhere from 2 to 5 feet of snow depending on which part of the Island you go to. Ian and I go snowshoeing anytime we can and hope to get back into cross country skying next year!

Like Carrie~Anne, I don't mind the snow it is the cold that is sometimes hard to deal with. I grew up in Northern Ontario where the winters can be brutal .. here on the Island however the normal low is usually around -10 celcius .. Cold spells of about -30 celcius happen but aren't a regular occurence .. and we get lots and lots and lots of snow! tongue.gif

Great pics Betty .. very pretty! biggrin.gif

Wow! I wish we would get some of the white stuff. I am a kindergarten teacher and I LOVE snow days as much as the kids. Although I will be home this week recovering from my third wrist surgery. I fell 3 years ago and have had to have some repairs to ligaments done. Boy it is hard to type one handed!! Anyway enjoy your snow.

We've been having some really weird weather in the midwest. Last Sunday/Monday we got between 6-8 inches of unexpected snow. Then Wednesday is was 0 (farenheit) with wind chills of -15. Today (Sunday) it's 58 degrees and almost all the snow has melted already. I like the snow because I have a boy still living at the house that can remove it from the concrete!! rolleyes.gif
