I've not heard of this place either...

I'm a little nervous about giving information such as leg band numbers and such to someone else. And I don't think personally I would give a specific address and the types of birds I have to just anyone...though by my siggy you wouldn't know that.

Right now there are a lot of "snatchers" out there and While I might list the type of birds I have, I'd never give out the band number because who's to say some once couldn't hack into that site and get the info...come to your place of residence and steal your birds...they have the leg band number and its not hard to forge a bill of sale these days...SO...think and check this site out very carefully before you give any information out about your pets.

Looks good on the internet but who knows what it truly is.

I'm not saying this site is not legit but I'd be real hesitant to give them the info they want...

Just my opinion.

Im thinking about that too andie's mom, but from what Ive read on thier site, they seem reputable. You guys can check it out too if your hesitant. But like I said, Im only thinking about it. Im pretty sure its just for the greater good of avian regisration. But your right about the hacking thing. I think there was something at the bottom of the page.. Im pulling it up now. Apparently if you read This Page, it says they are there so breeders and fanciers can keep accurate genetic documents of thier birds. Although, Im not too sure since they only started up last year. I don't know. This whole thing was just an idea. unsure.gif
