Okay someone brought into my job a stray pekingese they found sitting in the road. They tried to find the owners, but no one has come forward claiming this dog. So, he got "adopted" on Monday by me.

Basically I tricked my partner into letting me keep the dog... by saying we need to do a trial period with him and if it doesn't work out I can return him... plus I said that he was going to be sent to the pound where he will end up being euthanized b/c he's not the puppy cute kind of dog (he's got a snaggle tooth and a messed up eye).

Well he is the best little dog in the world! He didn't fight much during the exam, stood still during the bath/drying/brushng, and took his vaccines/heartworm test without too much of a fight. My entire family has fallen for this little 9 lbs mop, everyone is saying if I don't want him he has a home (that's 3 families all "fighting" for this dog). He's so laid back, he plays with the boxer/shepard mix, could care less about the cats and birds, and just wants to nap and cuddle with everyone, but he comes to me in the end and sleeps with me.

I feel bad b/c I always trick my family and partner into letting me keep animals. My family has gotten wise to it. Normally when I show up with an animal and say I'm baby sitting, it means I'm keeping them. I don't think he really counts as an animal since he sleeps all the time, that's my opinion.

He's been named Chin-Chin by family and friends. At first he was thought to be a japanese chin, but he's a pekingese. Plus he responds to Chin-Chin unlike the other names I tried (Chinese names such as Yingjie and Zhengzhong). So everyone agreed Chin-Chin was perfecto for him.

here's some pics of him

He's about 3 year olds, and I think he is ours... it will take an act of G-d for me to part with him.
