Hello Everyone,

My name is Christina and I recently have found myself in co-habitation with a 2 year old QP that we've taken to calling Ivy. She is very sweet and loveable. I've handled quakers before but I"ve never been in constant 24 hour care of one and I can use all the help I can get! A lot of you seem to have a lot of history with birds so I'm very excited about finding this forum and I look forward to getting aquainted.

We've only had Ivy a week and as of yet I have not gotten any pictures of her in a fashion that I can load them to the computer, but we'll be working on that so hopefully I can post some soon.

I will post any questions I have in the correct forums rather than overloading this post with that here.

Hi Christina and Ivy, welcome to the forum!!!

There's more quaker knowledge around here than you're likely to find at any other single source so you've certainly come to the right place.

I look forward to all the wonderful stories that you're bound to have with a quaker in the house.

Thank you all! Just reading through some of the posts I can tell many here have lots of experience and lots of birds as well as other pets. I can't wait to see what else we can learn. And I look forward to having stories to tell. Already Ivy seems like lots of fun. She's so cute, we're just all trying to get used to one another it seems.

welcome to the forum! you're going to fall so much in love with your Ivy you're going to wonder how it's possible to love a bird so much.

feel free to ask as many questions as you need because we don't think any question is a stupid or over-asked question!!

since most of us have quakers we've learned to have lots of patience... so we'll wait patiently for pictures of Ivy!!
