My Sweetpea just turned a yr old. What to feed her?? She would rather starve than eat Harrisons pellets or any other kind of pellets!! Parrot food seems to be to large for her, even small parrot food. I have tried cockateil feed but she does'nt seem to like it much.Is there a Quacker Parrot feed out there anywhere. She does eat some fruit when it's offered. Thanks. Bobby

I am not as experienced a most here, but I feed Yoshi my 6 month old Quaker Roudybush Mini pellets and although he appears to waste alot of it because it is big, he really enjoys crumbling it and rolling it around.
Also, fruit and veg (veg more so) make up 40% of Yoshi's diet and he loves it that way. He is a fresh foo snob and won't touch anything cooked, dried or frozen. It has taken alot of trial by error to find things he likes but it was worth the effort. He loves carrot, corn, cauliflower floret, brocolli stalk, banana, red capsicum and chili seeds. There is more but it is a little harder to get him to eat stuff that isn't what he wants.
Just give him lots of oppurtunities, and things to try and it will actually stimulate his little mind as well wink.gif Go for your life with veggies. Yoshi has made my eating habits healthier so he can eat with us. Try feeding Sweetpea while your eating. Yosh loves to eat on dinner his stand, while we eat at the table.
As for fruit, Yoshi gets very hyperactive on fruit and he has overdosed and become sick eating too many blueberries. Fruit has heeps of sugar, so feed in moderation.

Hope I helped a little. biggrin.gif
