Apples was recently taken to the Vet to have his cast on his broken wing removed and he started plucking immediately at the feathers under the broken wing, and his chest. The Vet did not know what to do for him other than put yet another collar around his neck. I have since removed the collar as it was reopening a wound that his previous collar created.

He is 7weeks old and still eating formula, he is afraid of new food, fresh foods, and although he was once curious and biting at pellets in our hands he no longer does that- he only wants formula. I am not sure what to do for him, the doctor really had nothing to say other than he is healthy and he does not need to come back for a year.

Other than those worrying issues he seems very healthy. He makes these weird monkey sounds (is that suppose to be my laugh?I do NOT laugh like that); does anyone know what that means? I also want to know why he squawks at us, it seems like he does it for attention, and sometimes as a warming to stay away. I’m not sure.

Awwwwwwwwwwww poor little guy he still should be on formula at 7 weeks thats just a baby I didn`t get Buddy till he was 11 or 12 weeks old so I am guessing about 10 weeks should see him start to whean..
Maybe he was just so relieved to get the cast off he attacked his feathers I don`t know how about a feather protector..

Buddy is not into a lot of toys , he likes to play with paddle pop sticks (I buy from the craft storeA) he chews them up and trys to build a nest with them , some others say their fids like straws to weave to build...
He loves his Boing and he loves his Jolly ball that I have inside the cage for him to play hide and seek or slep in with Sunny..
This place is great to shop at and ONLY use stainless steel which is the only metal you should have near your fid , those toy bells etc in toy shops are usually not S.S so I wouldn`t use them ..
Here is a link for toys and I will add some links on unsafe metals...
