In the last couple of days, Bonnie has actually stepped up and sat on each of our hands for a few minutes. The first time, when I moved my hand, she hopped right off and refused to play with me any more. Tonight, she stepped up and sat there giving me the tail for several minutes, and when I moved my hand, she stayed on it. Then Clyde flew over and landed on top of her cage, squawking, and she STILL stayed on it! Never turned a hair (or feather, LOL) when he landed right above her. I had my hand inside the cage with her on it. Now, to accomplish this, we have to coax her to get on a specific perch and then coax her to step on a finger, but she will do it. I have high hopes that we're almost to the point where she'll step up from anywhere. It might take another couple of weeks.
I hope she really is a young bird because at this rate, who knows how long it will take to get her to sit on our shoulders and snuggle.
