YEA!!! I think the roads should be o.k. by tomorrow. Don't worry. Just drive safely, please! We got about 6" right now and it just keeps on snowing, but it's supposed to stop by 1:00pm

Wishing you the best and I can't wait to see more pictures!!!

where in Ohio are you? We are near Dayton adn didnt' get wheat they thought,,
I am also excited about your baby and the upcoming pictures and info on how it works out.
First question, how do you transport the baby and how far is it to ride in the car?

i live near mansfield and we didnt get near as much snow as they had originally called for

the breeder is from parma
in a pickle aviary is what it is called

she said they are getting alot of snow now but it is supposed to die down this afternoon and they should have everything plowed by tommorow hopefully

i will email her tomorrow to see how bad it is up there

and loriwoo i will be transporting him in a cat carrier with a blanket over it (and in it on the bottom)
it will be straped into the car by a seatbelt i will probably put a few grapes in there for some moisture on the trip
the ride is about 1 1/2 hrs maybe a little longer if we have to go slower b/c of snow

Ooooohh.. how exciting!

I hope the weather backs off enough so the roads will be clear for you to pick up your baby.

Gosh.. you know what.. you really should submit his baby pic in your siggie for the 2010 calendar. I could look at the baby pic all day long wub.gif

Can't wait to see pics of him once you have him home!

Congratulations!!!!!!!

Congratulations! In the three plus weeks I've had mine, I've noticed something new that she's doing each day. If I had it to do over, I would scribble down the new thing in a kind of baby book. Today's new thing was rubbing up against my cheek. You're going to have so much fun!

omg that would be awsome to see him in a calender

i just got home from work and the roads were not too bad the ones in town were slushy but not slippy

and the main roads were totally clean so i hope the highway gets clean and we can go

it will be hard to keep the blankie on

the blanket is mainly for traveling to and from the car so he doesnt get a drft or anything so i probably will at least partially uncover the cage in the car just so he can kind of see what is going on

and so i can look at him lol

i am going to use a little note book to keep track of his weight and i never thought of writing down all the stuff he does/learns
that is a great idea thanks

that way i will know when he says his first words and stuff

looking for an update hehehe. Not sure what time you were picking him up.

Baby book for bird sounds like an awesome idea!

I kept track of weights and what they were eating when I first got the fids. Should have gone more in detail..drat.

Now I just keep track of weights.. should start a little book on Rocky, because he is just starting to say things.

hurry home and give us an update on the trip and everything

yes he is

i will post pics later in tonight

he is sooo cute lol

buuuut i did not get the one pictured in my siggy
i was upset about this
the breeder accidentally mixed them up and gave my baby to someone who came earlier that day

it was a hectic day b/c of all the cancellation yesterday were picking their babies up today too

i was VERY upset and i cried when i noticed(after i got home)

they are giving me a partial refund for the mix up and i know they feel awful about this

this one is sweet though and he is very cute he is making little noises and preening himself and he is all puffed up

right now he is climbing in the cage and even playing with a toy right now wub.gif

i am sure things happen for a reason and i know there is a reason why i got him instead of the one i had originally picked out

Oh, that's too bad they mixed the babies up, but I'll bet you're right -- this one needed you! I predict that by tomorrow you'll be so crazy about him you won't even notice he's not the one you picked out. wub.gif
