I support a wonderful organization in Canada that supplies a refuge for life for any parrot that is either abandoned, abused or simply has an owner who no longer can keep the bird. They have over 700 birds (including some Quakers).

Times are tough for this organization with two things happening in this economic downturn, one is obvious the money is drying up and secondly people are giving up thier birds in greater numbers.

This forum is full of bird lovers and I just wanted to let you know of the real problems faced by these wonderful people.
