I've been working some awful hours and haven't had much time with Clyde for about a week, just snatches here and there. Today I was off and got to spend a lot of time with him, and he took full advantage. Every time I set him down on his cage so I could use the restroom or something, he came promptly flying back and glued himself to me.
I was trying to put away laundry this afternoon and he HATES laundry -- too much scary stuff flapping around when I fold things, and he doesn't like it a BIT when I bend down to put something in a drawer. But today he sat on my shoulder while I folded (even the SHEETS) and when I put stuff away (even when I had to dive headfirst into the linen closet to put those sheets away) and didn't complain a bit. He clung to my shoulder like a cockleburr.

He started off on my head, but had to move to my shoulder when I explained to him that it's really difficult to fold laundry with a parrot on your head. I told him I realized he'd probably never tried to fold laundry with a parrot on HIS head, so I didn't expect him to completely understand the difficulties that lie therein, but to take my word for it and just move down to my shoulder like a good boy, and he did.
