I was so very sure I was going to get this job at the storage place.......They hired a Male that has a degree in Hospitality management, Customer Service Management and something else ohmy.gif My Hubby said if the person is young, then he only took the job until he gets something better. You don't need a degree to run a storage place dry.gif It is only part time and pays minimum wage. So I can't help but think that is why he accepted it...........just until he finds something in his field.
I was in second place and the owner asked if he could keep my resume on file should this not work out. I've been there, done that and real tired of hearing that. I know it is my age, but just can't prove it. Kind of bummed out today......

I'm sorry, Sandi. Keep your chin up, everything happens for a reason. If you didn't get this job, there's a reason for it. Something better will come along. smile.gif

Sandi big hugs coming to ya.
I know things are so hard to alot of people right now.
My Hubby and I still have our jobs but we have been cut back.
So I'm looking for something more. Everyone tells me they can't
hire me cause I already have something and they are looking for someone
completely out of work. Its just hard right now.
I'll keep ya in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes.........it is getting a little tough because Hubby is getting a $600 a month pay cut. They have already started it (June 15th) and we are feeling it. I am thankful that he does have a job, but we were just able to pay everything........I was getting a job to pick up the slack, but I know there is SOMETHING out there I just need it NOW........before we get behind on stuff.

Don't let this get you down, Sandi. Get back on the horse and keep riding. The job market is a tough one right now, but there are jobs out there. Hang in there, and keep at it!

I too am losing one of my jobs this coming weekend. Some of you may know that full-time, I'm an HVAC (heating and air conditioning) mechanic. But on the side, I'm also an organist at three different churches in Worcester, Massachusetts. One of those churches -- my favorite one, also the one that Laura and I got married in last year -- is closing on Sunday. It's probably going to be one of the most difficult services I've ever had to play for, and then the worry of having $500 less per month in income is looming ahead too. But I've already started looking and applying for new positions elsewhere.

The point of telling you all of this is to let you know that you're not alone. All we can do is keep trying until something comes along. Don't get discouraged as you may subconsciously bring that "down" feeling into your interviews, which could jeopardize your opportunities at other places. So, keep a stiff upper lip, as they say, and keep plugging away. Meanwhile, I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers if you'll keep me in yours. wink.gif

I know you're probably sick of hearing this Sandi but keep trying. Something's bound to break loose for you soon, speaking from experience.

Good luck to you as well Dave.
