Oh My Word

I was chewing gum and without thinking and something i don't do often i blew a bubble and some must of stayed on my lip and birdie saw it and like a flash he ate it but he never swolowed it (i hope) cos what he did was chew it a bit (while i was trying to take it out his mouth ) and he spat it out. Was really i tiny tiny piece i'm really hoping he never swolowed any :C silly bird and silly mom

If you've got it, they want it. I've taken to eating stuff they can't share in the kitchen, at the counter, standing up, because it's a small kitchen and there's nowhere to sit. If I'm where they can get at me to beg, they will, and their little feelings get hurt if you don't share.

Yep, even tho Kiwi is afraid of alot of stuff.......when it comes to me eating anything he almost has to be in my face to get it tongue.gif

Yeah. In fact, whenever I want Phoenix to try a new food that he isn't sure about, I used to pretend to eat it. Once he saw me pretend to eat it, he would try it himself. Of course now he figured out I wasn't actually eating it, so when I pretend to eat it, he pretends to eat it right back. Now I have to actually eat something for him to.

Lol i know what pellets taste like and they yuk cos that was the only thing that worked was to eat them so he would.

I wouldn't be as worried about him swallowing the gum as I would be his direct contact with human saliva... it can be very dangerous for our birdie friends. blink.gif Hopefully, he's still doing well today.
