I paid $180 for my quaker back in 1999. I don't know what the going price is now, but I would think that is about average. Just my opinion.....

Our local pet shop has a green Quaker right now for $299. The sign says it's a hand-raised bird. I've seen them on Craigslist and one ad in the newspaper for around $250 generally, so that price sounds pretty typical. I didn't buy either of mine so that's all I have to go on!

You'll also have to think of the cage -- you're going to need a big one -- and vet bills and food and your upcoming addiction to buying bird toys. laugh.gif The purchase price is only the beginning but it's the best cash you'll ever spend!

In the Tampa Florida area four months ago I purchased a hand raised Pallad for $150. She said the greens would be between $50 and $100 depending on the age of the baby (rather still weaning or fully weaned)

I live in Ohio and just bought my QP Hedwig for 240 with tax. I bought him from a qualified bird shop that has been around for 29 years. I could have brought him home last week but I did not want to wean him myself. He should be fully weened this week. If you are in the south west part of Ohio I will pass along the place. I am new here in this forum and I don't know if it is prober to post it.

Wow, I never knew quakers were so expensive in other areas. I paid $55 for Lulu and that was actually more than the baby my friend got for $40. I keep wanting to get another one but know I need to wait until Lulu's bond is stronger with me.

Not to pricey really, i just dont want to waste 200 dollars because of a pet store, if the bird cost 250 and below i dont care..
