We brought petrie home 4 days ago and things have been going great. She's 4 years old, and very healthy. We've been going slow with her but also establishing the rules and a new schedule. She has bit me a few times and I earthquaked her, so she no longer tests me. HOWEVER, yesterday and today she has begun biting, nipping, pulling pieces of hair, and nipping ears with my two kids (10 & 7). My daughter spends a lot of time with petrie, and they seem to get along great, but she bit her, and my daughter reacted loudly and incorrectly (ouch, NO, ect), so now every time she goes to have her step up she immediately starts trying to bite her fingers and then laughing. I showed my daughter what to do, and told her not to cry out, say ouch, or ow, ect. The thing is though Petrie isn't responding to it.
With my son it's the worst, he's the 7 yr old. She automatically crawls to his shoulder and begins to bite his ears hard or pull out bits of his hair, and today she nipped his very close to his eye. He of course reacts by crying and then she laughs.
She does not do these things with my husband and I. I earthquak her when I catch her biting hands, ect but i'm not sure what to do about the other things. Obviously keeping her off the shoulders is appropriate, hoever she just runs up there so fast that at times I dont catch her.
Suggestions gladly excepted. We're only on day 4, so I'd like to correct this behavior before it becomes permenent.
