Amber had surgery on Tuesday to repair her torn ACL in her leg. She is doing pretty good right now, but is quite stubborn about taking her meds. We are watching for infection and also to make sure she doesn't have a reaction to the meds. We have to do therapy 2 x a days which is pretty painful for her. She will be able to resume regular activity after 60 days........Here is a picture of her...

Awe...I see she's just as spoiled as mine is - all covered up to keep warm & looking pretty smug about it too. Hope she is now on the mend.

How did the surgery go? I hope your baby is OK! My Chihuahua is my little girl and I don't know what I would do without her. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she is now five! Here is a picture of Rosey:

Amber is doing better. We are now doing different therapy. She got her stitches out on Monday and finally today we were able to take the collar off. She puts a little weight on her foot but not enough. The Vet says the next time we bring her in that they have tricks to make them use the bad leg. Looks like that is what we are going to have to use....Your little Chi is very cute! I have 2 of them, a male named Poncho, he is black & white, short hair, deer leg. And Amber......

Beautiful girlie!

I haven't had a problem remembering how to spell "chihuahau" since I had a client try to phonetically pronounce it.

He wanted his CH EE HOO AH HOO AH bathed.

Now schnauzer.... it's right up there with dachshund. So unless you speak German.... *wicked grin*

Your chihahuahua is adorable. How is he doing now? I hope she will use her leg again. Good that the vet has a way to make that possible.

Dachshund is named after the animal it was trained to hunt. The Dachs is a badger biggrin.gif Hund means dog = Badgerdog.
In German the Dachshund is called: "Der Dackel". Not as bad as "Der Schäferhund" which is the German shepard. biggrin.gif
