Yep, Quakers are very good at undoing those pear links. Quincy takes the ones off his toys and reattaches them somewhere else on the cage.

Those little hook beaks are AMAZING!

It slices... it dices... it opens D-links like it was made for the job! *grins* Good thing they're not inclined towards criminal activities... bank vaults everywhere would be ripe for the plucking.

Bwahahahahaha...

That is really cute. Pico one day while he was on my arm grabbed the string on my hoodie which had a knot so tight on the end I couldn't even get it undone. He put the knot in his beak and within seconds he had it undone. They are so amazingly smart.

It wouldn't be so bad if Sammy only let himself out but he has to let everyone else out too!

That cage looks just like the one my budgies live in, and my little Bonnie likes to lift the door where the food dish is. So far, she hasn't figured out how to open it and keep it open so she can duck out, but you might want to keep that in mind with Marley. laugh.gif

normaly he just takes it off and parades around the top of his cage, like YOU CANT STOP ME, and then goes back in and sits on his favorite perch but on this night we went out for dinner and when we came back which was only an hour or so he was hanging out on the other side of the house. so as funny as it is i am putting a different lock on it now and he only messes with the feeder doors if i am and its only to nip my fingers cuz he thinks its funny he laughs and carrys on about it

Do you know if Marley breaks out the largest door or one of the smaller ones? With my parrotlet I used to put her food dish in the middle door (the one larger than the "feeding" doors) to make certain she could not open the largste door....

When I first got my QP I had him in a "baby" cage that was simular, but he wouldn't stay in. I had to purchase a larger one with those bird-proof locks to get him to stay in his cage when I left... You may have to do the same.
