It's that time of year. Time for my annual Holiday Poll. Since we always get new members I thought it would be fun to see how we all do the holidays with fids. How far do you go with your fids.

My girls have their own personalized stocking. They have their own personalized tree ornament balls. I even put my Christmas/Winter solar, battery powered candle labra in front of the windo sill by their cage so they get that nic warm candle glow.

My girls get presents and I actually wrap the gifts. It always feels like Christmas when I include the girls. Even though they are not people I do not treat them like second class citizens. Life is life and I say we are of equal status.

Clyde was our Christmas card photo last year. He and I posed in front of the tree with his personalized stocking. biggrin.gif I considered getting him a Santy Claus hat but I figured he wouldn't wear it. This year I'm going to try to get both dogs and both Quakers all in the photo, but it may take some Photoshop magic to get all four to hold still long enough for something like that. There is NO point in attempting to get all eight of my babies into the same photo. The budgies hate having photos taken and the Quakers are afraid of the rodent members of the family.

Hmmmm... if I hustle I wonder if I can clicker train Kiko to play peekaboo IN a Santa hat. I might have to wait for next year because I don't start mailing cards in the next week or so I won't get them to all of my family! *grins* MORE stuff to do. Yay!

As for Christmas, we do include the animals as well because I want my kids to really focus on quality of life for the pets. They know how much THEY love getting gifts and stuff... and the dogs get new raw bones, and the cats get something they can scratch up and "kill"... The snake is much harder to buy for. Last year we got her a bigger hidey rock. The hamster is easy... she gets one of those seed bar treats that's loaded with honey and molassas and not really good for them as a dietary thing.

..... we usually get a real tree too. Wow. I wonder how Kiko's going to handle THAT? And where am I going to PUT it now? *grins*
