I wasn't aiming for a velcro bird, but I have one now. It took about 8 months. Frost became a velcro bird when her wings grew out and suddenly she could fly to us whenever she wanted. When I first got her, she would run away from our hands. Virgil was like that, too, and he still is a little standoffish, but he's coming around.

Lori, just don't push it. She is in a new place with people and animals she doesn't know and she needs time to get comfortable. Take it slowly and she will be fine, don't worry.
