Lovely!  My Peppy just took what I think was his first bath in a Quaker-sized tub yesterday.  He's been cage bound in a budgie cage and bathing in the tiny water dish for all his 21 years, I think.

Yes, his person died recently and he wound up with a wild bird rehabber friend, so I took him about a week and a half ago.  He's not hand tame at all and I don't think he was ever let out.  I have a larger cage for him and am hoping he will eventually go in on his own.  It's set up with treats and a bridge from the old place, but nothing doing so far.  He's still in quarantine for another 2 and a half weeks, so we're just taking it slow.  He's quite a talker, but I haven't deciphered about 75% of it.  He chastises me a lot, though.

Peppy came out of his cage and climbed around twice, but not for several days now. Too suspicious of the new cage, I assume. He will come out onto the bridge, but that is it. He reminds me of Donald Duck when he talks. It is really cute. My African grey talks in my husbands voice, though she is not a big talker.

Not a great one. I hope to get many good ones in the future. (I haven't figured out how to not have my photo post upside down. Hmmm...)

Thanks, will try:

Did not see the options. I wonder if it is due to the iPad. There are some other options, like smilies, that don't show up on the iPad. I'll try later with my laptop.

Bathtime is my favorite! There is nothing as cute as a bathing bird...or one soaked from a bath!
