Hello, I am new to the forum, I rescued a Quaker Parrot from the Humane Society 2 days ago. He was brought in as a stray with a head and beak injury and was given medicine and a foster home for a week. I am not new to birds because I have had the same cockatiel for 23 years. I am very excited to get to know him. So far, he is very vocal but does not know step up. I want to teach him that so I can let him out of his cage, otherwise I can't get him back in. I am looking forward to being part of the forum.

It's lovely that you have taken in a bird so many people would not consider.  I'm just getting to know my own Quaker and can tell you they are great little birds.  Overflowing with personality.  I also am hoping to teach Peppy the step-up-and-down-without-drawing-my-blood routine. smile.png

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on being adopted by a Quaker parrot! I'm sure your new feathered friend will appreciate having a good, loving home and good care. smile.png
