It's lovely that you have taken in a bird so many people would not consider. I'm just getting to know my own Quaker and can tell you they are great little birds. Overflowing with personality. I also am hoping to teach Peppy the step-up-and-down-without-drawing-my-blood routine.

I ALSO HAVE A NEW QP N HAVE HAD HIM ABOUT A MONTH,
HE WON'T GET ON MY HAND,BUT I JUST OPEN HIS CAGE DOOR
HE COME'S OUT N SIT'S ON TOP OF HIS CAGE,BUT WHEN EVENING
COME HE GOES BK IN BY HIS SELF THEN I JUST CLOSE HIS DOOR, N COVER HIM N TELL HIM NITE NITE
