HELP !! I keep trying to edit my signature but when i click add it tells me there is an error what the heck am I doing wrong?

You MUST have this saved on a Free on line web page ..such as Web Shots /Photobucket or Imagestation...COPY the URL Adress from there..ON PHOTO BUCKET ITS THE SECOND LINE UNDER THE PICTUREGo to MY CONTROLS...Edit Signature
Look at Bar with icons and click IMG(picture of a tree) a space will pop up this is where you PASTE the URL address you have copied from Photobucket on the free web page...DONE...
The Avatar and Signature should now show up on every message you post...

Made a avatar with Cricket and a flipping siggy as well as the boxed one you wanted ..Hope they are suitable...

Vicki you have it saved in a different formate thats why the colour has changed and its not animated ....it needs to stay in gif formate ...go back and click open the original and save to your computer then up load to Photobucket ..should remain in the gif formate...Good luck..

I saved it to my computer and then uploaded it to photobucket.. but it dont show it as a gif.. How do I change it ? or can I ?? Sorry for all the trouble.. vicki

Start again see what happens ..
Open the one I made you then right click on it and it should show as a gif...then save to your file on you computer .. check it saved as a gif if so then add it to photobucket again....

If for some reason its not saving as a gif.....I will email it direct to you see if that works you can then save it from the email maybe that will work....you will need to send your email addy to me...

P.S did the other general tag save as a gif ...???

I just went and saved it to my computer and it remained as a gif (animated)...

Also one time when I go to photobucket all my saved animations with be moving and the next time I go there they wont be..do you know y?

Here are the two siggys in J`peg formate (NON ANIMATED) so if you can`t get the animations to work maybe you should use the J`peg as the colour is better than the png formate that you are using now....CLICK OPEN TO ORIGINAL SIZE BEFORE YOU SAVE THEM....

Maybe QPDad...will be able to help he is a wiz with computers...

Hmmmmm, the only way I could tell anything would be for you to delete them from your computer, delete them from photobucket, save them again and upload them back to photobucket and show me the URL.

Hello, I did undo everything and redo it 3 times.. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong . It didnt help.. I opened the thumbnail and right clicked and saved it the way you said.. that's how I always do it..but this has me stumped.. I am on my way to try it again tho..Im not giving up !!!!lol thanks .. oh what do you mean what program did I use to save them? I use whatever it is that open after I click on it to save it..I use irfanview to do all the resizing and other stuff.... hope thats what you mean... thanks again qpdad..

I just thought that if you had a "fresh" gif copy on photobucket, I could save it to my computer and see why it wasn't animated. I even thought it might be animated and your 'puter wasn't running the frames.

I wanted to know what program you were using because if you resized it and re-saved it in a no animation program, the saved copy wouldn't be animated. I'm not familiar with irfanview. does it have an animation feature?

The ones I see at photobucket are in the jpg format so they wouldn't be animated.
("animatedsig.jpg", "Vicki_Xmas_Tag_NON_Animated.jpg" and "NON_Animated.jpg")

It would be OK if you posted the picture that you expect to be animated. I could look at the properties and get the URL.

this says the animated gif is on..on irfanview under the extensions with all the listings of pic formats and stuff nothing is checked..i'm checking some of them to see if that makes a difference... vic

Hi Vicki well at least the J`peg ones have a better picture as Buddy said they are on Photobucket as J`peg so the must not be on gif on your computer ...do you have any animations saved on your computer ..?? maybe it just converts them ...Have you tried again to click open and save the original one I made ..if it saves as a gif on your computer it will up load as agif to photobucket ...

THis is the xmas Tag I just copied the img to post hre to see the colours...looks heaps better than the one in the Png formate that you had , but its ashame you can`t seem to get animations....Keep trying if anyone can figure it out for you it will be Buddy ..(QPdad)...

Yeah, the ones on photobucket are jpg's. I think you're retouching/resizing them in that program and then saving them in the Jpeg (.jpg) format before uploading them to photobucket. If that's the case, the original gifs are still on your computer. "animatedsig.jpg" and "animatedsig.gif" are two completely different files.

But I didnt retouch or re size any of them.. I just clicked them open and then saved them like Majj told me to do..I sent it to my son and he said he got it to change to gif format on his computer but it still isnt animated..I double checked to make sure I sent him the right one and I did . Like i said b4 sometimes when I go to photobucket they will all be dancing around happily but the next time I go there they don't so Im at a stand still..I email irfanview tech support also. do you think its in the viewer or my computer? If its the computer where do I go to fix it..?I thought about removing irfanview and re downloading it and try it again.. thanks

I dont know whats going on with it but I just clicked on someone else sig and saved it to my computer then opened it and its just flashing away.. i dont know y mine wont work...Maybe you could try sending them again Majj...i'm waiting to hear for the irfanview tech support and see what they say

Vic...Just to make things easy I uploaded your siggys to my Photobucket .. Now right click them and save to your computer if they are still animated then you should be right to upload them to your photobucket, DO THEY REMAIN ANIMATED..???? I hope this works......
