Hi.

Today I made a post about my screaming quaker, Olive. It was suggested to me that I needed a playstand... so I made my own. biggrin.gif I was inspired by all your homemade playstands etc. As you shared your ideas with me, I thought I might share my (and my sons) creation with you.

ps. I hope I uploaded this picture correctly.

Good idea. Quakers love climbing on things. Just remember to check and make sure that you use only "birdsafe" wood, and that it is properly cleaned and sanitized. The hanging toys will give them something interesting to play with, too.

If the fids play on/with it, it works!! As Pacosmom said, as long as you use bird safe materials, whatever works!! Good job!

Good job!!! I found out that the huge tree in front of my house is bird safe and I've been going crazy building stuff here.

Thanks! tongue.gif Everything is bird safe. The branches I used are from my birch tree (oops I think I said "aspen" in a different post.). Our vet gave us a list of trees that are safe and birch was on there. The only thing that I assume is not "safe" is the plastic platter but I know my Olive wont ever venture down soooo low anyway. Right now she wont spend more than 2-3 minutes on the thing because she isn't used to it yet and her wings are not clipped (but they will be soon!). Once they are clipped I think she will have a lot of fun on it.
