Mitchell and Richie

Guys and Gals,
I lost Richie yesterday in early afternoon based on my flawed judgement. I simply brought him outside on my shoulder to enjoy the air and all the sudden he flew away from my shoulder. Of course he wasn't clipped.
You may wonder why he's not clipped he is very good staying indoor without going to windows or door and we are extremely careful. It's just plain stupidity that I made cuz I MADE him to come to outside, and this is my consequence for losing him.
I thought to post here to help me grief to accept to lose Richie forever and to show how beautiful Richie is. I have cried for many hours yesterday and a few times today even while I type this post. Richie and myself are really close, everyday he would sit on my shoulder, giving me kisses, eating together what I eat. He will always jumps on my shoulder when I bring towel as he knew that I am going to have bath or shower. Yes we take bath and shower together almost daily. I just missed him terribly. I don't know if he will come back. If you have any tips or any miracles story, post here... Please no critize of clipped wings as it will not help me grief. Here is his amazing postures when we got him when he's around 3 1/2 to 4 months and we lost when hes about 1 year and 2 months.
All I can say I wish the best for Richie to live in wide whole world. But I am truly afraid that he may not able to survive in wild. He's just a preicious little baby.
Richie, I always love you!!!
Regards
Mitchell

Wow you guys are great. You give me some strength and courages. I have taken your advices. I have put my cage on the patio which it's across my bedroom with his favorite treat and water. I have my laptop calling his name and say "Bread" as he knows it's his favorite treat. It repeats every 45 seconds, abit loud but not too loud to distrub neighbour ( I am deaf but I use good judgement by feeling on the speaker.) Let's wait and see. we are considering to adopt the new quaker parrot sometimes soon we can't stand seeing our cage go empty however if Richie ever come back, he is still wecome to us as always. I have seen in other website that some may come back in months or years or maybe never. We will move out in a few months howver I hope he either comes back to us or go to a wonderful family who can give the same loves as we do. I will always come back here to check and let you know the news. Hugs to you all.

You might want to put an add in the paper and call local pet refuges and vet offices. If anyone finds your bird, those are the places are most like to call/visit/look for help!
Good luck.

Mitchell, I am so sorry your bird flew away. I agree with the others as far as what they said to do. The sooner you post flyers, call the Vets, put the cage out, etc, the better luck you will have of him coming back or finding him.
I wish you so much luck!

I see tons of you saying he needs clipping. He's already clipped from the people who found Richie. Richie is very calm when he got back home. He sleep for awhile and cleans his feather. I think he's just happy to be home. I am going to clip his wings but allow him to fly strong enough for a few feets or a very short distance, that will be very carefully monitored by myself. I will come in all forums and share feedback with you guys and post new pictures when I can

You guys ROCKS!!!!

You are so very lucky!! I am so glad that Ritchie found his way home (actually doesn't sound like he went very far away)sounds like Ritchie loves his Parront (YOU!)
By the way, I don't know if you are clipping wings or having someone else do it, but you want him to be able to have just enough lift so that he doesn't hit the ground with his keel and injure himself. Just for your information
