I finally finished their playland for the most part. My husband thinks I am a little nutty but the kids have had fun helping! I still have to finish the inside of their cages and I have a few other "ideas"

Great job! It really IS a playland, not just a play stand. I can see they seem to love it, too!

Thanks! I built it. The "tree" is a grapevine that I got at a local pet store and mounted it vertically. They sell them in the reptile section usually but can be used for birds too. I use the breeder doors as "exits" right onto the grapevine. The "flying saucer" is a dog "frisbee" that I just used some jute and a couple of beads to hang it. They love it, great place to have a treat!

i was wondering what kind of rope have you used? is it cotton or would polyproplene work just as well? (to get a couple different textures) I am trying to make one also, so I needed some advice. Also, do you think using a glue gun would be safe to attach things with? thanks.

Great set up Kay...And they sure look like they are enjoying it...
Got a question: I'm assuming the rope perch goes all the way through the jolly ball, right? If so how did you get it to conform to the ball...I can't see it at all inside the ball...And how long is that rope?...I have one for Harley and haven't quite figured out how to set it up...He has taken to his ball after looking at it several days hanging on the side of his cage...He goes in but not sure how to get out of it...

Thanks Kay...

Wow! That is really neat! I bet they really enjoy that! It makes all the effort and time worth it when you can sit back and watch them play and enjoy it! Thanks for sharing your idea...I did something simular once...already changed it now of course. I tied my two cages together with a rope and perch...put safe plants all around for them to chew on. Needless to say, they loved the plants and killed them all! Oh well, they loved it for a while!
