I took my woofie to the vet for a physical,

When they took her blood the vet noticed something awkward about her blood, he immediatly sent it to the lab and he continued to check her while the results came in.


Well they came in, Skyla had late stage cancer. No one knew anything, she seemed to be healthy and was acting normal. I noticed her hair was falling off and she wasnt eating as much food, but i waited for the vet appt. The only choice was to euthenize her, I took her to the back room and sat down and talked to her. I gave her kisses and hugs she licked me once and went with the vet. She was a sweet dog with a happy life.

I will get a new dog eventually but i will miss my Sky, my 'woofie'

I know that it was her time and knowing that i said my goodbyes i feel better.

Thinking of you at this trying time...And yes, it is a trying time....Over the years I have had to have 4 put down because of sickness, cancer, etc.....And it isn't easy....

How old was Skyla?.....And it sounds like woofie didn't suffer which is a plus....

wow, I just had to put my dog down a month ago who looked so similar, 'Odin' he was 6 or 7 (we got him from someone else who got him from the pound so we are not definet about an age)
