I Know some of us are not as creative as others...So I thought I would share some ideas for homemade toys that I have had. Here are a few shots of toys I have made...

With the Wiffle balls I have made several destroyable type toys. The one above shows it with straws...I have also added numerous sheets of tissue into one with great success. I add a small loop to hang the toy with. (I Usually use leather) and then clip to the cage. All the wooden shapes that you see are small animal toys I have used a drill to put holes in for stringing..The beads are regular pony beads. The smaller wiffle balls I got at the dollar store. They are actually ment to be wiffle golf balls. All of the supplies Used to make these toys can be found at the dollar store, Walmart and your local pet store. All VERY cheaply. I have spent MAYBE $30 on supplies ~ and made two dozen or so toys! Anyway thought I would just put my ideas out there...

The first picture of the wiffle ball stuffed with straws is one of Monet's favorite toys. If we're feeling fiesty we'll put a couple popsicle sticks in there as well. She LOVES it!

Can they take out the straws? what do they do with them. I know silly questions. I just never thought of doing a toy with straws. How cheap and what a GREAT FUN TOY!! thanks for the ideas... i need to be more creative!

I have put the straw and wiffle ball toy in the cage at the store with Pixie and the other two that are in there. They love it...They pull the straws out and chew on them then drop them...I am sure that some people who have builders will find that their birds will get the straws out and then build with them....I cram four to five straws in a hole at a time to make them have to work for them! LOL
