I am trying to make my own bird gym right now, but am stuck on what kind of rope i can use for the birds to perch on and play with. Is cotton the only thing to use, or would i be able to use polyproplene rope? I couldnt find cotton ropes anywhere yesterday! please offer some suggestions! thanks![size=5]

Cotton is best, or most anything that is natural. Sisal or hemp rope will work and is usually pretty easy to find. Just avoid the manufactured, poly-type ropes.
