My daughter threaded a rope of pony beads using plastic lacing and want to give it to our new Quaker as a toy. I have concerns if this is safe:

1. Plastic lacing - is this safe? I imagine he could chew through it? I've read rope and sisal are safe but not sure about this stuff.

2. Are the pony beads safe? I've seen lots of toys with them on them, but I'm worried about if he gets one off, isn't it small enough he could choke?

Thanks all,

Carolyn

Carolyn,
Are you talking about the Paulie rope? Look here if your not sure:

What your describing sounds like the kids craft version of Paulierope, and I'm sure they're basically, if not exactly the same thing. Pony beads are also ok, but just in case I like to supervise my fids with toys that have them. Those are their exclusive "out of cage toys". You may think about doing the same, as a cautionary measure.

This is the stuff I was talking about - it is the stuff the kids use for craft making: What is Boondoggle

It looks narrower than the Paulierope? I'll think we'll make this an outside the cage toy.
