Very slowly...LOL....all kidding aside........I don't know because I don't have sleep cages for mine. Mine do, however, have cages in the motor home. I guess I didn't introduce either one of them very slowly to them, but they did just fine....

He has always slept in his regualr cage in a certain spot.
Just wondered if it would upset him to be placed someplace new to sleep after being used to sleeping in the same place for 5 months...

Captain has a cage for sleeping in/playing in when the people are away and then a seperate cage for playing in when the people are around... so I suppose it's the same as a sleep cage smile.gif

When we moved, I just kept the cage she was used to for her sleeping cage (I also didn't take her toys down when we moved, I left them all the same so she would still have somewhere familiar to go in the big scary new house) and turned the new one into her play cage. She didn't mind at all. It worked out famously because now her one cage means she gets all her favorite toys (regularly rotated of course!) and perches and the other cage means she gets new toys and gets to hang out with her family, so she's happy and playful in both.

She's a funny bird though and almost staged a hostile takeover of an empty cage in Petland the other day. She found a standup cage that was blue like hers and decided this one needed to be hers too... silly fid! laugh.gif If she had her way the house would be a sea of 1000000000 houses and toys for her and the people would be little more than bird butlers.

If it was me, I'd put the cages side by side for a few weeks and let him get used to the new cage. Make it so that he can access the sleep cage from his current cage. Make it fun, just one or two small toys and food/water.

Thanks Carrie~Ann I think thats what i am going to do.I have it sitting next to his regualar cage and when he is out he can climb on it smile.gif I also put one of his favorite perches and his hut in it.
Too much happening in the living room at 6:00am and thats where his cage is.So if i put hime someplace else to sleep perhaps he will sleep better.....
