This is a toy that my fids all love to tear up.
Made from a little book from the dollar tree store, newspaper style pages.

I cut a small chunk out, wrap one end with masking tape, then,
cover the tip with hot glue and let it cool.

Next day, using cotton or sisal rope, tie the bottom of it tightly to the cage bars.
Quakers, Conures, 'Toos and CAGs all like this one.

A dollar goes a long way with this one, cutting about a half
dozen chunks or more out of one book.

It kind of makes a mess, but keeps them busy for hours!

another great idea Gail. I just can't think of things like that. Thank you!

Old phone books work well too...for big birds just hook sisal through the middle and hang it or drape it over a bird tree limb..the little birds get into shredding it there as well...only thing is you then need to hide your good phone book..Or it soon becomes a toy too!
