Connie has a convert. I have given Connies idea a try as regards to Twiggie getting down from her gym, and it worked like magic. I think I ony had to squrit her twice before she got the idea that to keep from getting wet that way she had to stay ON her gym. Now all I have to is SHOW her the squirt bottle and she climbs right back up on her gym, and stays there. I wish it would work on all her bad behavior, but at least now I know she will stay saftly on her gym, when I'm busy so that when I come back I don't accidently step on her.

I use the same method, we have a good bottle and a bad bottle. They even know the colors. Good bottle for baths and bad for being naughty (getting down). Works Great!

I don't use a squirt bottle, cause, like Sandi, I really don't have a need for it. BUT, I really think that if I had an issue that I would give it a whirl. I mean, I do it to my cat ALL the time!!

I use spray bottle on my dogs too...it works best on Lyle the others have too much hair!

No I do not use a water bottle on Joey. The cats and dog I do just to get them to stop fighting. Starla is only 4 months old so she is still very hyper so the cats don't like this!

its not a muzzle its called a gentle guide. It help when walking her she will not pull. The jacket is a rain coat lol

OH Jeeze...CindyLou, you just started something, I know you did...If Andie sees that picture...Poor Killian will be dressed in all sorts of outlandish costumes...and Poor Buster already gets embarrassed when she stuffs him into sweaters and stuff...LOL...

Also, Dee, our guys like water too...but with the correctional spray, its the big stream, not the fine mist... its the fine mist for the bath...

The big stream is done at a distance with a firm voice and the mist obviously is done up close with a soft fun voice. They definitely know the difference!

I use the squirt bottle with Jojo, mainly when he is having a major tantrum or when he is getting down to the floor. He knows full well he doesn't belong on the floor...and will wait until you're not looking. Once there he stalks the cat or Tim's feet. Most times all I have to do is show him the bottle and he'll go right back to the top of his cage where he belongs.

I use a squirt bottle for Huey and the cat. Huey just needs to see the bottle and he is good but the cat still needs to be sprayed (dumb cat) LOL I have been known to use it on the kid from time to time to. It gets there attention

LOL...I've squirted a kid or two as well. I got Tim one day when he was just being ornery...that didn't go over very well...LOL.

I love to hear that others use their squirt bottle as much as I do! The QP at bath time, the cat when scratching furniture, the puppys when trying to tear apart their kennel, and the boys, 10, 6, and 5 when they refuse to get out of bed! Hav'nt used it on hubby yet... well this marriage thing is pretty good for me so I probably should'nt try it
