Well, my mom called me yesterday while I was taking care of my errends, Bomber was dead. He was talking to me in the am, and gone in the PM. I feel so bad. I had left the window open over the night...and I think that he got a draft, but mom said he was out of water (though I had put water in his dish before I had left for the pizza place. I don't know what happened...I feel pretty terrible and miss him already.



Bomber was 9 years old...and my best feathered pal.

Thanks for the notes folks. I really do appreciate the thoughts. I know Bomb was "healthy". I honestly think it was the draft and the fact he's had a really rough year, getting his beak bit, Dobby beating him up, and that sort of physical challenges. I still get upset when I think about him being gone, not greeting me every morning. I plan on moving Marshall into his cage, so it's not empty (and an upgrade for the sennie). I don't know that I will keep another green baby, I have Wasabi to work with and Casey...so we'll have to see how it goes.

As to the necropsy, I'm not sure I will have it done. He's been deceased for 24 hours or better now (currently in my fridge). I have though about doing it myself (and sending the samples in to the lab) but I'm not sure I can emotionally...and now he's been expired almost too long for necropsy.

But I want to thank everyone again. It means a lot to me that you all "have my back".

As I just told Levi, Bomber's final resting place will be under A new Oak tree that We planted in Andie's yard this year...So part of Bomber will live on in that Mighty Oak...
