Sharon AKA Lizard Lady
Kenya was a rescue that stayed on as a pet. An ideal little trooper to take to the schools. Never shy about coming out of her shell and visiting with the kids. I will miss having her along at the reptile shows I give at the schools.

I'm sorry, Sharon. Is that the tortoise in your signature?

Sharon AKA Lizard Lady
yes it is the one in the signature. They are a very strange species instead of the bottom being hinged as in the box turtles the back 1/3 of the shell is hinged. and they are much longer than wide. they can store enough water to last for months. since water is a feast or famine thing on the Serengety. Anyway I guess this is not a speach I will be making any more. Back to the box turtle and rusion tortoise of the neighbors.

Oh so sorry Sharon. I just love all tortises. We have wild Gopher turtles all over. They occasionally trek through the yard . I just love to watch them. Can't make them a pet as they are endangered.

Again really sorry. sad.gif
