Made from a closet pole, 2 dowel rods, cotton rope (from a dog's toy) and some pvc connectors.
Copied the idea from one seen at a bird fair this summer.

I am still working on Skyler's play gym, and one of the things that I have yet to figure out is how do you get the rope to stay inside the pvc connectors? We tried some non-toxic Elmers glue, but it didn't hold. What did you use?

Thanks. Of course, it does not look nearly as pretty as the original one that I saw at the bird fair. I just always use hot glue to hold rope inside pvc. Stick the rope thru, add hot glue to the end, then pull it inside, and sometimes, add a little more.

Yes, Julie, it is hanging from the ceiling. I usually hang them above their cages, but this one in the middle of the room for the sake of sharing. I have a play stand (manzanita tree) underneath, where they can climb up to reach it. Now that some of their wings have grown out, Paco has been flying over to the grey's boing. I don't want Gracie taking his head off, so we'll see how he likes this one.

I have been looking at plans on the net to build a gym so far I havent had the time to do it but eventually...well my todo list is pretty long.
Yet the one you built is amazing and the birds seem quite pleased with it too.
