Does your husband or any of your family members get sick of you talking about your fids or other birds?

Ray says all I every talk about is birds! I don't think I do but I guess he does. So I have tried to limit talking birds with him. But it's hard because I want to share things with him. Silly huh??? I wish he was into bird's like me but he is not. I guess because Meeka hates him.

Tony is jealous of Oatis ...I over heard him talking to his Mom about how the bird gets better treatment that he does and he got upset because I browned some hamburger we had left over for Oatis and didn't make him anything...but I asked if he wanted anything and he said no.....

Luckily my hubby is the one that tells everyone he possibly can about how fantastic Stendeck is ha ha ha. But he does get annoyed when he comes home from work and I am on here writing to everyone and reading threads and hes been hard at work all day. Oh and I have to make more toys now and stop going in pet shops and spending money on things he doesnt need or like for that matter. And I have noticed lately we dont go out to the shopping centre together much these days perhaps I drag him from pet shop to pet shop!!!! LOL

Thanks guys! I feel alittle better, because I know Meeka gets alot of my attention. I have been putting her up when he gets home at night, so I can spend time with him. Because he can't get near me if she is sitting on me. I just love birds and I want a grey so bad. Hopefully he'll get me one. So I got to be good( Hahaha) until I get my grey!

Hubby so understands my love for my birds, even tho he does not interact with them. Whenever we are going to do anything that requires taking the FIDS, all of them somewhere (dogs & birds), the birds are definitely included. Hubby knows how much I love my birdies.

I know Ray loves Meeka and he knows I love her and I don't at all think he is jealous of her in anyway. But I think he thinks I talk alot about birds and I think I might because. I'm trying to decide what bird I want next and how I'm going to save the money to get it.

He tries to be friends with her and sometimes she will be his friend if his eating and she want's some or I'm out of the room.He is never mean to her or tells me to get rid of her because he understand how much I love her. I was'nt saying anything bad about Ray.Because he does understand and he is the one that bought Meeka for me.

I was just talking about this with a forum member recently. My mom gets annoyed for the same reason. She claims all I talk about is the birds. Despite the fact I dont usually start conversation about the same thing she gets annoyed and tells me to shut about about the birds. I usually do and move right along to politic.. within a few minutes she gets annoyed by that and say NO MORE politics.. so next I move on down the list of important topics to religion and God. Doesnt take her long to get annoyed with that too and usually at that point she leaves me alone She has major control issues. I can even be talking to someone else about the birds and her over hear it and she tells me to shut up about the birds

So as you can see already by all the replies.. Youre far from the only one
