I made Joli two "things" last night.

I got all the stuff for the Peek-a-boo playground at Hobby Lobby.

Bowl - 9.99
3 small ladders - 0.99 ea.
Dowels - 1 Pkg of 4 - 2.49
Toy - Beads/string/hook/bell - had all the stuff at the house except the bell - 1 Pkg of 4 - 1.49 (now I can make more too)
Painted ladder - 7.99
Sun/Bird/Birdhouse painted wood cut-outs - 0.49 each
1Pkg of 6 Perches - 2.49 (in the wood cut-out section)

= about $30.00

- Used some finishing nails through the bottom to hold up the dowels then nailed the ladder to the top of them
- Finishing nails through the back of the wood cut outs to attach the pre-made perches
- Small amount of hot glue to the ladder tips for the Entry/Exit (don't use too much it will ooze out and they may pick at it)
- Small amount of hot glue to the tip of the painted ladder
- Small amount of hot glue to the back of the wood cut-out perches to attach them to the dowel.

-Easy as that

Perch

Tray (w/no legs) at Hobby Lobby - 14.99
2 pieces of Grapevine - 9.99 ea.

= about 35.00

Screws through the bottom of the tray into the grapevine...now that one was EASY!

Oh My! I would love for mylo to have something as nice as that... I'm just not sure creative when it comes to parrot toys. I think I'm going to sit down tonight and design a good one.

oh so cool
can I ask you how much time it took to make it as well as would you define it as 'easy' or would one need to be more experienced to create it?
