I have a question -

My dad had an aviary for about 15 years or so, beginning when I was a young teen. We also always had an indoor pet bird or two, including my first personal bird, a tiel named Bogart.

From the very beginning of our bird experiences we were told by several "bird experts" that you could not give birds peanut butter because it could "choke" them. Peanut butter, mushrooms, and avacados were always drummed into my head as "NO" foods (I never could figure out why they made wild bird feeders with peanut butter).

However, in recent research and cruising of bird related sites, I am seeing peanut butter more and more in recipes for birds. At least one of the recipes from the site listed above (I haven't read them all) uses peanut butter.

So, it is good? Or is it bad?
